Though Elden Ring is just around the corner, Dark Souls fans haven't let up on playing through their favourites.

The bold continuation of the FromSoftware lineage of rage-inducingly difficult games is set to be the best of the bunch so far, but until then, fans are left in the lurch waiting for its arrival.

And as it turns out, players have been keeping themselves busy during the wait with an in-game fight club. Seems reasonable. What's the first rule of Knight Club?

Dark Souls 3 Has Player Fight Clubs

Despite Dark Souls 3 coming out in 2016, it has brought together a collection of Dark Souls fans to get involved in PVP fight clubs. Players have built their own servers dedicated to players jumping into a ring, watched by spectators, and fighting to the death.

The phenomenon started back in Dark Souls 2 where players would summon others to duel, and now, the fan-made mode has expanded into a full arena tournament.

It's actually incredibly sophisticated, as there are lots of rules and regulations that participants have to abide by in order to hack and slash at each other.

What Are The Rules Of Dark Souls Fight Club?

Believe it or not, the first rule of Dark Souls fight club isn't to not talk about Dark Souls fight club (otherwise we'd be in pretty big trouble just by publishing this).

Players aren't allowed to attack the host of the game, and when jumping into the arena, players must indicate that they're ready to brawl by gesturing. Nobody is allowed to interrupt the fight until someone falls, and hosts should be willing to heal players with Warmth once the battle is over.

It's especially complex for something so silly, but at the very least, it's giving players something to do together until Elden Ring makes its grand arrival early in 2022. Who knew that beating the snot out of each other would delight Souls fans so much, but we'll let them get on with it. As long as they don't talk about it.
