Diablo 4 Battle Pass is a huge time commitment
The feature of a battle pass has always been a concerning notion to fans, but it seems that Diablo players have welcomed them with open arms. Since the Battle Pass appeared in Diablo 3, fans have felt as though the approach could actually be executed with finesse.
As a game that pays for entry in the first place, it takes players a lot to warm to a bonus cosmetic scheme. Diablo has managed it, and it looks like the latest mainline instalment doesn't intend to slow its efforts down in giving its fandom seasonal bonuses. But damn, it's going to take you a while to get through it.
How long is the Diablo 4 Battle Pass?
Well, at least there'll be plenty to do. Associate Game Director Joe Piepiora has confirmed the Diablo 4 Battle Pass is going to take a hot minute to get through.
Speaking to PC Gamer, Piepora reveals that "Right now, the battle pass, when you're figuring in completing the season journey alongside doing other content in the game, you're looking at roughly 80 hours worth of time invested to complete the entirety of the battle pass.
He continued, "To level a character to level 100 could take a little longer than that based on how you play." Blimey. It's a lot of time to work through, but frankly, a lot of Diablo players will make short work of it.
Be warned though, even the most hardened players don't actually have that long to make it to the end of the Diablo 4 Battle Pass.
Diablo 4's first battle pass lasts three months
If you want those all-important final items from the Diablo 4 Battle Pass, you're going to want to start as soon as you're able. According to Piepiora, the first Battle Pass is expected to last about three months.
90 days might seem like long enough to get in 80 hours of playtime, but you'd be surprised at how much life gets in the way of playing Diablo. How annoying.
We trust that there are fans dedicated enough to fight all the way to the end of the Battle Pass - and if you know any of them, make sure they're watered and that they get enough sunlight.
