The Modern Warfare 2 campaign was a blast with a few twists, a set of memorable characters, and plenty of action as always.

However, out of every scene during the story, it's Simon "Ghost" Riley's meme stare that's remembered most by fans.

The image of Ghost looking at Soap while in the car with Alejandro and Rodolfo quickly went viral, circulating far outside the realms of the CoD community.

Well, Activision has looked to capitalise on the Ghost meme, creating a sticker for players to unlock. Unfortunately, it comes with a hefty price tag, something fans have labelled as unbelievably "greedy."

Call of Duty has added Ghost meme as a sticker

Taking to the ModernWarfareII subreddit, CoD fans were shocked that the devs actually decided to play along with the Ghost meme and add it as a sticker.

While a lot of fans were happy that Activision isn't taking it too seriously and is at least getting in on the joke, the only way to get hold of the sticker is through a bundle.

This bundle is called "Love and Hate," and is available on the Call of Duty store for 1,400 CoD points. As expected, this is where countless members of the Call of Duty community have taken issue with Activision, as in their opinion, this meme shouldn't have been monetised.

It's safe to say the excitement surrounding the Ghost meme sticker faded quickly, as soon as players realised how much it would cost to get their hands on it.

"It’s cool but it could have easily been free," said one user, with another arguing, "God it's disgusting how they are trying to make money with every single bundle idea they have, this could have been like a free pack."

With the Ghost meme becoming so iconic and popular, the community feels as if Activision should have been generous enough to hand the sticker out as a free reward.

Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case, and while there's heavy backlash at the moment, a lot of players won't be able to resist swiping their card and picking up the bundle
