Long-time fans of the Call of Duty League will be used to sporting their favourite teams' skins in-game, despite the mediocre designs not quite being to people's liking. But this year, they've been pulled into the design lab for a well-needed upgrade.

The Call of Duty League skins are quite a popular choice to wrap your weapons and keep them warm while dotting around the Hardpoint maps, yet for years, they've been pretty sub-par. Even though the designs haven't been great in years gone by, fans have lapped up the green and white of OpTic Gaming or the red and black of Los Angeles Thieves.

Now, heading into Modern Warfare 2, it appears that the design team have been slightly more generous, and has upped the quality, much to fans' delight.

Modern Warfare 2 CDL Skins Leaked

Images for the Call of Duty League weapon camos have now been leaked for the Modern Warfare 2 season, shortly after the league revealed its full calendar leading up to the World Championships and detailed huge changes to the Grand Finals format.

Leaker 'CoD Perseus' has now shared what appears to be the CDL skins for this year, including those for OpTic Texas, LA Thieves, New York Subliners, London Royal Ravens, Las Vegas Legion, and Toronto Ultra.

The designs boast the usual colour scheme paraded by each brand, while looking increasingly modern, compared to previous designs.

Fans Finally Like CDL Skin designs

After years of unsatisfied purchases of team skins, fans are now generally quite excited by these leaks, with many people claiming that they are the best designs that we've had yet.

The fan base has seemingly applauded the designs for overcoming the relatively low bar set by themselves, respecting that the camo finally covers the entire gun including the attachments. The only thing left would be to add a logo though, something which would further add some identity to the designs.

It's set to be a definitive year for the CDL, yet at least the skins should be coming by December, at least, allowing the league to capture the pre-Christmas release hype train.
