Do not pass go, do not collect $200. While many associate Call of Duty: Warzone's Gulag with being a last chance saloon for unlucky players, a new bug is sending you there not long after you parachute into Caldera. Well, it'll shave some time off matches.

The ever-popular Call of Duty name has been bolstered by the success of Warzone since it released in 2020. Bringing the premise of battle royale to the CoDverse was a stroke of genius - meaning the free-to-play Warzone continues to be one of the franchise's biggest earners. That being said, Warzone is known for its gremlins.

What Is The Call Of Duty Gulag Bug?

Posting on the Warzone subreddit, u/Papermetr0 showed off their happy jaunt around Caldera. Things were going well as they took out a rival with a souped-up Cooper Carbine, but as they dashed to find more ammo, the OP was met with the famous "captured" montage and whisked off to the Gulag.

The wider community is equally stumped, because let's be honest, a trip to the Gulag without death is about as game-breaking as it gets. One disgruntled player wrote, "Upvoting for visibility, this shit is atrocious," while another added, "That's happened to me twice since the new map dropped. The first time I was doing pretty well and was driving a truck and blam captured. Exactly the same as in your vid."

A third simply grumbled, "I played 3 matches after taking a week off to give it some time. Each match I experienced a game breaking glitch that caused me to be killed. The third time I didn’t even stick around for the gulag, just powered the game right off. I’ll be waiting a month this time around, after that I’m done."

Will Warzone Fix Its Gulag Glitch?

We'd say look out for the Gulag glitch, but there's literally nothing to look out for. Some have suggested the OP might've walked into an invisible death barrier, but how are you supposed to spot them? Putting it simply, it looks like this was a serious case of bad luck.

The comments were filled with the usual anti-Warzone hate, with a repeated theme that Raven Software just isn't trying anymore. We could fit the whole site with Warzone glitch stories, but alongside being able to glitch under the old Verdansk prison and that dreaded stim glitch, an automatic trip to the Gulag is one of the biggest we've seen.
