Modern Warfare 3 is well underway and the new era of competitive Call of Duty is set to be bestowed onto us.

The Call of Duty League's 2024 season is almost here, and before the guns are cocked and the bullets are loaded for the December 8 kick-off, the CDL has now announced some of the nitty-gritty details on how to watch (and earn goodies on the way).

Ahead of the 2024 season, the Call of Duty League has revealed that YouTube will be the streaming platform of choice, and Opening Weekend will kick off with some nice viewership rewards.

Although the Call of Duty League returned to Twitch last season to set viewership records, following three years of exclusivity on YouTube, the CDL has announced the 2023-24 season will be broadcast live on YouTube.

The League has announced, "The 2023-2024 CDL season will be broadcast in 4K on YouTube Gaming," where fans will get viewership rewards for tuning in.

At this moment in time, the details surrounding a YouTube exclusivity deal are not known, although with multi-platform streaming seemingly out of the window, it appears a contract must be in place.

The league has also opened applications for watch parties, although it's not clear how this will work with the popular Twitch co-streamers from last year such as Seth "Scump" Abner and Thomas "ZooMaa" Paparatto.

Ahead of the Modern Warfare 3 Ranked game mode's release later in Season 1, players can get to grips with the CDL ruleset by watching the Opening Weekend fixtures, and also get a blueprint, calling cards, and stickers to equip to your account.

The main reward will be the Mirrors Blueprint, which glows reflective blue. Fans will also eye double XP tokens and the Shhh Animated Emblem with a CDL Operator, which will sparkle up anyone's custom in-game appearance.

To earn these, CDL fans simply need to link their Call of Duty accounts to YouTube and sit back, grab some popcorn, and get busy watching some heavyweight matches over Opening Weekend such as OpTic Texas versus New York Subliners and the two new brands Carolina Ravens versus Miami Heretics.
