Every Call of Duty player has a list longer than their arms as to what they'd like to see changed or fixed in the series, with some as far-fetched as bringing Blackout back and others being as menial as turning the "find party" button back on after it was disabled over a month ago.

But it has become as apparent as ever that whatever is in the Call of Duty pipeline or on the dev's to-do list will never match the paramount importance of the in-game money-making store.

After the CoD Store broke yesterday, Call of Duty fans are now lashing out at the hypocrisy of the developers fixing the problems in five minutes but failing to act on longer bugs.

Call of Duty's store breaks and is fixed in minutes

Following the release of Season 4 Reloaded, players reported that the Store had completely broken, leaving bundles such as the new 8-Bit Blitz unattainable and the event tab unaccessible.

The issue was translated to players at 18:06 BST via Activision's CoD Updates Twitter handle, as it said, "We're investigating an issue preventing players from accessing the Store and Event features."

A matter of minutes later players were reporting that the store was accessible again.  At 18:09 BST, ModernWarzone took to Twitter to say the store was up and running again, stating, "Call of Duty took less than 5 minutes to fix their in-game store after it broke."

Of course, the CoD Store is atop Activision's priority list, as it's the franchise's main revenue stream. This is especially true now that Call of Duty is set to miss out on many game sales ahead of its Game Pass inclusion.

But fans are still unhappy at just how quickly this was fixed, while other bugs have been months in the waiting. "SBMM ain’t been touched in 5 years. Hackers on old COD’s for 10+ years. But the store? God forbid," said one annoyed fan.

Another added, "And yet the cruise missile in pubs is still busted smh." A third echoed the sentiment, adding, "Now imagine if they put that same kind of energy into fixing the broken report/shadow ban system."

The Call of Duty Store has some new inclusions, such as the Plated Rogue Operator Skin and the Out of this World Pack, which both join the questionable Fallout bundles.
