Since the emergence of Warzone, PC gaming has become much more prevalent in Call of Duty than ever before. Still, it's been quite a bumpy integration, and players are turning off crossplay more often than not recently.
In fact, with PC gaming continuing to grow in Call of Duty (achieving higher performance rates), the loud minority of bad eggs that come with that community have begun to sneak in too.
Now, two-time World Champion Alec "Arcitys" Sanderson has taken aim at the PC integration and the hackers and software cheese that comes with it, claiming that "PC gaming killed CoD."

With Arcity's Call of Duty League season over and not qualifying for Champs for the first time in his esteemed career, the omnipotent assault rifle has been kicking back on stream and has now taken a swipe at the state of Call of Duty.
"I feel bad that we're still playing on PC. PC Gaming effectively killed CoD," he said on stream. While PC gaming has primarily been a huge issue for Warzone players and Ranked gamers in Modern Warfare 2 due to hackers, the migration to PC for the Call of Duty League has also been just as damaging.
Just this season, teams have been ridiculed for using the "sound equalisation" setting on PCs to enhance the audio on online matches, effectively unlocking wall-hacks through their ears, although LAN matches have quickly sniffed out those who use it.
Arcitys back by Call of Duty community over PC comments
The former World Champ was quickly backed in his comments by a string of fans, all echoing that the transition from console to all platforms only served as a catalyst for problems in CoD.
"He honestly isn't wrong, most problems started the second we asked for Crossplay," said one fan. Another quickly added, "Oh he is right 100%. Console way better."
It's beyond the point of going back now though, as many people pointed out that the PC Call of Duty players bring in too much money for it to revert back to just console gaming, so we might as well learn to live with them.
