Apex Legends devs may add Straight Shot's 're-queue' feature to other modes

After a bit of a Apex Legends Season 20 has gone down a treat with the community who are loving all of the Legend Upgrades that have shaken up the meta.

Alongside that, the streamlined Crafting Overhaul and Ranked changes have also been praised, but it's the Straight Shot LTM that's stolen the headlines.

Offering a fast-paced BR experience with instant loot for competitors, it's become the new default mode for a lot of fans.

However, there's one specific feature from Straight Shot that the community want Respawn to add to other modes, and the devs have finally responded.

Straight Shot's "re-queue" may come to other Apex Legends modes

During a recent AMA on the Apex Legends subreddit, one user decided to ask the devs whether they'll be adding the "quick re-queue option from Straight Shot to pubs and Ranked."

This feature effectively allows you to instantly jump into a new game without having to travel back to the lobby, which can eat away hours of playtime over long periods.

In response, the devs confirmed that they're looking into it and "love the idea" but need to make sure it won't impact the overall game experience and balancing.

"We are looking at this possibility right now! We love the idea, but we want to make sure that we understand all the possible edge cases before we commit to adding it to other modes."

Apex community continue to beg devs to make Straight Shot permanent

Re-queues aside, Straight Shot has now left the rotation, and Apex players are already craving the action-packed LTM.

The countless calls for Respawn to make it permanent continue, but it's likely the devs recognise that taking it away for a while generates excitement when they finally decide to bring it back.

"Just bring Straight Shot back and make it permanent," said one user, with another going as far as saying, "Delete duos and put Straight Shot in place, simple."

Whether the devs will take notice is a mystery, but the idea that re-queue could come to pubs and Ranked is exciting and simply means more action for fans.
