It was pretty tough to get excited about chargers not that long ago, but now we're living in an age where new gallium nitride (GaN) chargers are released seemingly every month - and they're almost all great.
Offering a tonne of power from a relatively small charger, as well as multiple ports, the GaN movement has seen some great chargers enter the market - but the Chargeasap Zeus might be my new favourite, offering a whopping 280W of output across four ports.

Faster than lightning
In my time before working at GGRecon, I was able to test out an earlier Zeus model, and much of the same feelings apply now as they did then; this is a remarkably compact charger for what's on offer, with a slick display to ensure you're getting the most power to your devices at any given time.
I recently flew to Bucharest and took just the Chargeasap Zeus with me. With a little fanangling (and the new Connect Pro magnetic cables, more on those here), I was able to charge my iPhone 15 Pro Max, portable battery bank, AirPods Max and iPad Pro all with the same outlet.
Given the quick nature of the trip, having the Chargeasap was a godsend, and I have no doubt it'll serve me well at Gamescom in just over a week, too.
It doesn't hurt that it comes with multiple adapters, and while my prior review unit had some stiff connections, this new model has a nice red release button to ensure it's easy to switch between adapters on the fly. Not a fan of the white option? It's available in Black, too.
Feel the Power
Chargeasap says the 280W Zeus is equivalent to four Apple chargers packed into a small frame, but it's much more than that. Depending on what you're using it for, the two 140W ports are ideal for a MacBook and/or a Steam Deck, while the USB-A port is a nice addition for powering older tech that's not moved to USB-C yet. It's capped at 85W, which is still solid, while there's 100W from a third USB-C port, too.
Whatever you're charging the Zeus stays cool regardless, and you can check how the voltage is being distributed via the OLED display on the side. It's easy to read and will let you know which port is using which voltage (if any) so you can feel safer knowing things are properly charged - especially if you're glancing at it overnight.
My only concern with the Zeus isn't so much to do with the product itself, but how well it'll fit with some of the more surprising outlet layouts I've seen while travelling over the years. After all, an extension cable at the front end could bottleneck the charging speeds, but depending on your hotel's layout it may become super awkward to connect up.
The Verdict
The Chargeasap Zeus is a charger worth getting excited about, offering ease of use and plenty of power in a package that can be thrown right into your travel bag. If you're on the move a lot for work, it's an easy recommendation.
