Encountering Warzone 2 stuttering is a massive headache, and it will make your gameplay experience much worse as it leads to you missing shots and dying more often. Call of Duty Warzone 2 has proved to be a bit janky at launch, with a wide amount of users reporting multiple problems. Stuttering is just one example of a performance issue that seems to be enraging some players, so if you want to know how to fix Warzone 2 stuttering, we've got you covered.

It's worth noting that the Warzone 2 stuttering you are experiencing could be down to either the game or your hardware itself. Both ways will still make the game worse, but it does change how you need to approach the problem slightly.

Activision is likely working on general fixes for the game that will solve performance issues right now, so you may just need to wait for these to sort out your problem. However, we'll also highlight some potential fixes below.

Restart

Sometimes all you need to do is restart your game client, the platform you are using (such as Steam or Battle.net), or the PC itself. This can often fix any current problems, though persistent issues may mean you need to try another fix.

Check Graphics Drivers

Make sure your graphics card drivers are up-to-date, as big games often get game-specific drivers to improve performance. These can be found on the manufacturer's website.

Lower Settings

PC players should make sure their settings are suitable for their hardware. It could be the case that you have the settings too high. Check the Warzone 2 system requirements to make sure you meet them. Putting the game in full screen instead of windowed mode can also help to boost FPS.

Enable Hi-Rez Assets Cache

If you have decent hardware and still want to push it with high settings, make sure you enable the Hi-Rez Assets Cache. This will create a cache of certain assets and files that can be used to stream files when you need them, which should also have the benefit of improving performance, though you will need extra storage space.

That's all for our explainer of the Warzone 2 stuttering issue, along with some ways to potentially fix the problem.
