With Total War: PHARAOH around the corner, it's worth learning how to play early access and what the early access release date and times are in the major regions worldwide.

Total War: PHARAOH is the latest entry in the long-running Total War franchise, this time taking the series to the Egyptian New Kingdom period, just before the Bronze Age collapse.

With a series of new mechanics such as dynamic weather, unit stances, and a bigger focus on slower, less micromanaged gameplay, the game has a lot of what makes Total War iconic to existing fans, along with aspects to bring in new fans.

How can you play Total War: PHARAOH early access?

To take part in the Total War: PHARAOH early access weekend, you just need to pre-order the game before the weekend begins, and you'll automatically gain access. 

The early access version is a carefully curated portion of the game, so you won't have full access to everything. It goes up to 60 turns total, and there are only two playable factions available, though the full campaign map will be accessible during this.

The Total War: PHARAOH early access release date is September 29, with it running over the weekend until October 2.

  • 1 pm BST
  • 2 pm CEST
  • 8 am EST
  • 5 am PST
  • 10 pm AEST
  • 9 am BRT
  • 5: 30 pm IST

Can you transfer saves to the full version of Total War: PHARAOH?

Once it ends, you also won't be able to transfer your save over to the full version, so if you're like me and enjoy going in completely fresh for a new release, it may be worth waiting until October 11 instead.
