Wow Forever Launch Time Uk

If you've been waiting for Blizzard's take on "Classic+", the wait ends tonight, as World of Warcraft: Forever goes live worldwide at 11pm UK time on Wednesday, November 4.

It's a brand new, permanent version of Azeroth that runs alongside the main game and Classic, and the good news for your wallet is that it's included with your normal World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time, so you won't need to buy anything extra to jump in.

What time does WoW: Forever launch?

Blizzard has confirmed a single global launch at 3pm Pacific, so everyone gets in at the same moment, which works out at the following times depending on where you are.

RegionLaunch time
UK (GMT)11pm, Wednesday November 4
Central Europe (CET)Midnight, Thursday November 5
US East (EST)6pm, Wednesday November 4
US West (PST)3pm, Wednesday November 4
Australia (AEDT)10am, Thursday November 5

There's a pre-download available now in the Battle.net app at around 50GB, according to PC Gamer, and it should be smaller if you've already got Classic or the main game installed because they share some files. Early name reservations closed on November 3, so if you missed that window you'll be fighting for your favourite name with everyone else at 11pm.

Do you need to pay for WoW: Forever?

Not if you're already subscribed, as Blizzard says Forever is included with a standard World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time. There are optional Skyborne packs on the Battle.net shop, starting at $29.99 for the Heroic Pack, which bundle in extras such as cosmetics and Game Time, so check exactly what each one includes before you spend anything.

What's new in WoW: Forever?

Forever is set in the early days of Azeroth, after Warcraft III and before Molten Core, and takes you from level 1 to 60 across the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor with more than 1,000 new quests to work through.

  • New and reimagined zones, including Mount Hyjal, Shen'dralas, the Riverglades and Zephras Isle
  • A new playable race, the Skyborne
  • Nine new five-player dungeons for levels 13 to 60
  • The Battle for the Darkspear Islands, a 15 vs 15 battleground
  • Three raids, Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair, which open on December 9

There are no traditional realms this time either, as you pick a ruleset (Normal, PvP, Roleplay or Roleplay PvP) instead, and Blizzard says Hardcore will follow at some point after launch.

Bring snacks, there might be a queue

Blizzard hasn't said anything about launch queues, but PC Gamer reports the beta had hour-long waits at busy times, so it's probably wise to log in a little early and have something to watch while you wait (the Warcraft film is still out there, if you're feeling brave).

Well, it's been a long time coming for players who've been begging for fresh Classic content, so here's hoping the servers hold up better than a level 1 gnome wandering into Stranglethorn. We'll keep an eye on how launch night goes.
