Warzone World Record Besmirched By Cheating Accusations

A Warzone Pacific World Record has been broken, but not without calls of one player being a cheat.

After the switch to Caldera from the beloved Verdansk, the World Record attempts in Warzone have been feeble, given the size of the Pacific map. However, when it comes down to 2v2 kill races worth $100,000, the pressure heats up and any bystanders on the map will be swallowed up as just another figure for their tally.

With a huge sum of money on the line, two pairs of two have smashed the record for the highest kills in a quads game, with all four players posting more than 30 eliminations each.

Biffle And Superevan Win $100k Warzone Event By Setting World Record

The duo of "Bizzle" and "SuperEvan" has been crowned as the latest kings of Caldera, having fended off competition from "Hisoka" and "Shifty", where their grand-finals run also set the kill record.

With all four players being on the same team, with the goal of earning the most eliminations as a pair, the two duos split up and slay their way through menial lobbies.

Having all posted 30-kill games, it was Bizzle and SuperEvan who took home the lion's share of the $100k prize pool, collectively racking up 68 eliminations.

Only one kill separated each pair, as Hisoka and Shifty also eliminated 67 players, and together, their 135 eliminations has set a brand-new Warzone Pacific world record.

The events are always scrutinised for the SBMM differential though. For example, the world record lobby held an average K/D ratio of 0.63, a drastic contrast from the teams' average of 5.69 (per WZStats).

However, the SBMM levels weren't the only reason for the record to come under fire, as ex-Call of Duty League professional Rasim "Blazt" Ogresevic lead a charge, branding Shifty a cheater.

Blazt Claims Warzone World Record Holder Cheated

Blazt, a Minnesota ROKKR streamer and former CDL player, has now besmirched the record, claiming Swift was using hacks.

The clip is alleging that the player 'snaps' onto a target in a fashion which would happen with aimbot, an opinion that has now divided fans.

100 Thieves content creator and pro Warzone player Thomas "Tommey" Trewren, renowned for debunking hackers in competitive Warzone tournaments, did admit the clip looked "sus", although the frame rates dipped at the pivotal time, leaving it to be questioned.

Since the Ricochet anti-cheat software was added to Warzone, it's done a commendable job at toying with hackers, although one or two have slipped through their net. Is Swifty one? Who knows...
