Warzone has been trying to make some big pop-culture crossovers, with… varying results.

Fans loved the Halloween events, bringing iconic characters from the Scream and Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchises to the game, but it seems like it's gone to Call of Duty's head, as they've gone a little bonkers against player's wishes.

The Attack on Titan has become notorious for being artistically dreadful, and with Snoop Dogg returning to Call of Duty amid sexual assault allegations, things could be better for the franchise's track record.

And now, an intriguing, if incredibly late, crossover has once again been teased to come to the game.

Godzilla And Kong Are Teased To Be Coming To Warzone

A crossover between the current Call of Duty games and the Universal monsters has been hinted at by leakers for some time now, but it looks like they're finally on their way.

A new trailer from Call of Duty references that "something far more powerful and fearsome than anything we could hope to comprehend" has awoken - and the trailer has a sneaky mystery frequency at the end, that fans have deciphered to say "monsters are real."

This is expected to herald the arrival of Godzilla and Kong, though which versions of the monsters are set to come to both Warzone and Vanguard are still up in the air. So what will they look like?

Which Godzilla And Kong Will Come To Call Of Duty?

It's likely that the MonsterVerse versions of the monsters will be coming to the games, despite being a couple of years too late for it now after the release of Godzilla vs. Kong - but there's still an opportunity for the classic versions of the beasts to come to Vanguard.

Godzilla might be a little late with its release coming in the '50s, but with King Kong's release in 1933, there'd be time to introduce the classic puppet to Vanguard for a mission or two - and it'd be a fun challenge to take the big fella down while also remaining accurate to the game's era.

Either way, this is a bizarre crossover that we'll be glued to like a car crash. Any Godzilla is good Godzilla, so frankly, we'll take what we can get.
