Warzone seems to be having fun with its easter eggs.
It has done for some time now, with event-specific secrets coming in every once in a while, and the long-standing mystery of the red door perplexing fans, and in some small way, standing in for the failed secrets of the recent Call of Duty Zombies efforts.
One Easter egg that has perplexed many players since first dropping into Caldera in Season 2 is the morse code broadcasts emanating from the map's chemical weapon research labs.
But finally, the codes have been cracked, and we know exactly what they all mean.
Warzone Fan Solves Caldera's Morse Codes
One Easter egg hunter Geeky Pastimes has put in the work to completely decode the many different morse code broadcast peppered across Caldera.
In a video posted to their YouTube channel, they talk the audience through the Easter egg - and though it doesn't actually earn players anything, it's interesting to see what exactly these research labs are broadcasting. It's a testament to the detail of Caldera, really, that developers thought to add such detailed codes to the game for players to find.
Geeky Pastimes seems to expect that this could lead to some upcoming secret for Warzone too, so there's every chance that these codes could come back around to mean something in future.
What Are The Warzone Morse Code Broadcasts?
The codes themselves are incredibly military-sounding, and it's hard to discern what a lot of them mean in the context of what's to come from Warzone, but who knows - this could yet come around to be crucial to what's next for the game.
- Docks - "facility is able to deliver 5000 gallons of N5 gas daily"
- Runway - "Recon Station spotted battleship 22 miles off the North/ South coast"
- Mines - "Requesting repairs at phosphate mines conveyor track"
- Lagoon - "Alert all planes on lookout for barrage balloons - fire on sight"
- Fields - "Compound N5 stable in chem bomb tests - beginning distribution"
- Power Plant - "Prototype bombs are in transit - confirm delivery"
- Resort - "Chemical leak detected in Hatch Four - send team to deploy decon stations"
It sounds like there's a lot of chaos unfurling across Caldera at the moment, and it could culminate in catastrophe - but we'll have to wait and see what it means for the future of the island. Who knows, by the time Warzone 2 is prepared to show up, we could have a chemical disaster on our hands.
