Fans of Call of Duty have been waiting for the release of Warzone Mobile since it was first announced in September 2022.

The game was officially delayed in October last year, however the addition of Warzone Mobile to the official Call of Duty website has stirred new hopes that it could be set to release soon amongst fans.

Warzone Mobile has made an appearance on the official Call of Duty website

Popular Call of Duty news account, CharlieINTEL recently shared that it had noticed that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile had been added to the official website's homepage.

The tweet, which included screenshots of the homepage and the initial announcement blog post said: “Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile appears to be releasing soon…the COD blog mentioned ‘Warzone Mobile is coming…’ and the official COD site now has Warzone Mobile on the home page.”

The mobile app is expected to allow players to play online with a battle royal mode against up to 120 players and additional multiplayer modes including Team Deathmatch and Search & Destroy.

In the Call of Duty blog post, shared to Twitter by Charlie Intel, it said: “Enter a new era of fast-paced, white-knuckle Call of Duty action - featuring real ways to level up across Call of Duty titles with the Battle Pass and BlackCell.

“Set the tone and start building the battle foundation for what is shaping up to be one of the biggest global mobile action games of all time!”

The blog post also advertised that the mobile game would include immersive maps, particularly fan favourites like Verdansk and Rebirth Island, and the ability to level up weapons and advance them to Warfare 3 and Warzone.

As it stands, the game is expected to launch in Spring this year.

Players are hopeful that the game will arrive sooner rather than later

The addition to the website has reignited fans' interest in the app, which has waned somewhat since it was delayed.

“Bout time, now i have something decent and fun to play while sitting around at work,” wrote one Twitter user.

Another wrote: “Yeeees! I've been waiting so long.”

Some hopeful players are using the date listed on the iPhone app store as a potential for the game to launch, 30 April in particular, however others have pointed out that this has previously been used as a placeholder date and likely is being used in this way again.

Not everyone is quite so sure that the game won’t be pushed back again, however, with several stating that they don’t expect it to release anytime soon.

One user wrote: “Watch it get delayed again.”

“Guaranteed delay again,” said another.

Though not much is known about the actual release window of the game at this stage, it is promising that it has made its way to an official page on the website homepage.

Hopefully, Activision will come out with an official date in the near future and put us all out of our misery.
