Call of Duty's cheating problem might as well be as well-known as Warzone itself. Anyone who frequently plays the battle royale title knows there’s something wrong with cheaters and hackers dominating lobbies with ease - and ruining the fun for everyone else.

Raven Software has insisted it's trying its best to tackle the problem, and that a new fix is in the works. Until then, we’re left with the swampy gameplay of hacker-infested lobbies. However, a new feature has been introduced that might help a lot of players understand the latest changes in terms of hacking.

It has now been noticed that a change to the killfeed has appeared in Warzone that alerts players when a cheater or hacker has been banned over their actions in-game. Similarly to other FPS titles, the game has now caught up and is offering other players the knowledge that a hacker who might've been ruining games has been banned from Warzone after they’d been caught out in your game.

The change was first pointed out by CharlieIntel, who posted an image of the killfeed’s findings. It now states the player has been banned rather than "disconnected" if they’ve been cheating.

This is a great step to make players more aware of hacking attempts in-game, and is a reassuring addition that reminds us Raven Software is still taking cheating in Warzone seriously.

When’s The Next Anti-Cheat Wave Coming?

It’s hard to say when the next wave of bans is coming (Raven has a habit of banning 50,000 cheaters at a time), but the developers have assured fans that a new fix could soon be on the way. It's likely to land alongside the update that brings Vanguard to the BR game.

Raven made a tweet alongside its last ban wave, that suggests it's working behind the scenes on a new way to keep cheaters out of the game. So, at least we have that to look forward to.

Despite all this, Warzone is a game still rife with cheaters. This addition to the game means the presence of hackers is something that Raven is attacking head-on. Even so, this new anti-cheat method couldn’t come soon enough.
