Call of Duty: Warzone has had some trouble maintaining a good reputation, and that's mostly down to its efforts to quell cheaters. The hacking problem in gaming is synonymous with Warzone, as Raven Software fails on every front to prevent players from taking advantage of the game and ruining the fun for everyone else. Everyone has had enough... including Dr Disrespect.

The Warzone anti-cheat model, RICOCHET, was forecast to fix this, but truthfully, it was much too late to make any sincere impact on the problem. And now, one of the battle royale's biggest streamers has reflected on how weak the attempts to curb cheaters was.

Why Is Dr Disrespect Coming For Warzone's Anti-Cheat Measures?

It's clear that the wound is still fresh for many of Call of Duty's fans when it comes to the failures of the RICOCHET, as one of the game's biggest unofficial spokespeople has come out to call it a total scam.

Tweeting the other day, streamer Dr Disrespect has called out the anti-cheat, saying Biggest PR scandal in video game history? RICOCHET." The Two-Time didn't leave it there, though (because of course he didn't); he then went on a short tirade while streaming Escape From Tarkov that same day.

He calls the RICOCHET anti-cheat method a "phony-ass PR stunt," and that he "can't believe people are actually responding with RICOCHET saying it's worked. They probably hired like five guys, let's wake the f**k up, man." Strong words.

What's Going On With The RICOCHET Anti-Cheat?

As of right now, it seems that RICOCHET is still struggling to keep up with the sheer sum of cheaters in Warzone. As the sequel to the game developed by Infinity Ward is fast approaching, it's not looking as though the problem is going to be solved in good enough time to persuade fans to stick around.

Fans are worried that by 2023, Warzone is going to be buried for good - and sadly, they might be onto something. It's all down to the hackers and cheaters that are still rife, and although Raven has tried to fix this, it's an increasingly impossible challenge. Doc has a point that it stands as a PR stunt, considering it hasn't really done its job and it's left Warzone in a pretty terrible spot. Sigh.
