When it comes to picking a top-tier AR in Warzone 2, the majority of players opt for the Kastov 762 or the ISO Hemlock.

While both these options are incredibly strong, there is another gun that's absolutely lethal at mid-range. According to WZ2 YouTuber Metaphor, it may be the 'best AR in the game.'

Unlike the Kastov, this AR is also incredibly 'easy to use,' so it's perfect if you struggle to control recoil in your matches. So, without further ado, let's check out this underrated weapon and the strongest build for it in Warzone 2.

Warzone 2 expert reveals top-tier STB 556 loadout

Instead of building the STB 556 for long-distance gunfights, Metaphor has designed the loadout to thrive at mid-range, and as a result, it laser-beams opponents with minimal kickback.

  • Barrel: 24.4" Bruen S-620
  • Muzzle: Komodo Heavy
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
  • Magazine: 42 Round Mag
  • Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity

This combination of attachments provides the STB 556 with a strong TTK, while also ensuring it's 'easy to use.' With the Cronen Mini Pro optic equipped, it's simple to lock onto opponents and land every single bullet on target.

It's key you use the 24.4" Bruen S-620 barrel and the Komodo Heavy muzzle, as they provide the perfect balance of bullet velocity, damage range, and recoil control.

If you're a solo player looking for a hard-carry weapon, the STB 556 is the ideal choice and is guaranteed to help you rack up countless kills.

According to WZRanked, the STB 556 currently has a 2.8% pick rate in Warzone 2, which puts it ninth in the charts in terms of popularity.

While the gun is being used by some players, it's still overlooked by a lot of the community - despite its impressive power. So, before this AR rises up the rankings or potentially even gets nerfed, it's worth using it in your matches before it's too late.
