Buy stations have been a permanent fixture in Call of Duty: Warzone since its inception. A simplistic design that allows players can buy top-ups of armour, weapons, or killstreaks. Surely they couldn't cause drama, right?

Weirdly enough, there have been some quite extraordinary debates surrounding the feature following the launch of the battle royale sequel, with some people claiming the reviewed buy stations have ruined the pace of Warzone 2.

Now, these quizzical statements are only heightening, as developer Infinity Ward has changed how the buy stations have worked for the worse.

Warzone 2 Buy Stations Change With Mid-Season Update

According to players who have already sunk their teeth into the update, Buy Stations have changed. Not the feature itself, but the frequency with which they appear on the map.

In hindsight, the Buy Stations now serve as a hub for conflict, with teams being forced into those regions. Still, players hate the changes with minimal chances to regain in games where the buy stations are necessary.

Buying teammates back or acquiring loadouts is now near impossible with full squads simply camping in the area. Players have also reported that the active stations will rotate, meaning it's hard for people to get what they need in time for the next storm.

Warzone 2 Players hate The New Buy Stations

With the changes coming into play, players have immediately called out the devs for removing more stations.

Others have also noted that there are invisible buy stations on the map if you can remember where they were originally and that the minimap is either bugged or only shows selected stations.

Content creators like Tyler "TeePee" Polchow admitted that the system was much better before, but also applauded the developers for fixing a lot of the bugs.

The OpTic streamer also added that the game was released four-to-six months too early, and it will be a while before Warzone 2 is ready to be judged properly.

It's clear to see that the Warzone 2 devs are trying to force players to utilise their in-game knowledge rather than relying on UAVs, but not being able to redeploy teammates thanks to Buy Stations being gatekept is quite damaging.
