Warzone 2 is finally getting a Ranked mode, and a lot of players are curious about which weapons are best for racking up SR. While using a gun you are most comfortable with is always a strong strategy, there are a set of top-tier guns that will outperform the rest.
Well, WZ2 guru IceManIsaac believes they've found the number one AR for Ranked that's 'unbelievably' strong when paired up with a sniper. It's perfect for obliterating foes at mid-range, and he's even provided a top-tier loadout for the weapon.
'Unbelievably' deadly Chimera Warzone 2 loadout
In IceManIsaac's opinion, WZ2 Ranked will be dominated by snipers, as players will be posting up in power positions and looking to make it to the late game. As a result, he thinks a solid sniper support is going to be essential to creating a top-tier Ranked loadout.

For him, the ultimate sniper support is the Chimera, as it sits in the AR category, but it shares a lot of characteristics with SMGs. The gun is absolutely lethal at close to mid-range with its 'unbelievably' fast TTK that makes short work of any foe in its path.
On top of that, the gun has a 'nice recoil pattern' that's relatively easy to control with enough practice. Once mastered, it's easy to lock onto foes with the Chimera and dish the maximum damage possible with every mag.
Having this equipped in Ranked will allow you to play confidently and aggressively when necessary. With strong mobility, damage, and stability, it has a top-tier combination of strengths.
Best secondary to use with Chimera in Warzone 2
When it comes to the best secondary to pair alongside the Chimera, it's key you equip the Overkill perk. Following that, we recommend using the FJX Imperium sniper to give you access to a one-shot rifle at long range.
If you're desperate to use a long-range AR alongside the Chimera then the ISO Hemlock or Kastov 762 are solid choices.
