The Call of Duty League broadcast has had two years of welcomes from a glistening smile and upbeat manner of the host, and whilst Lottie Van-Praag has taken a step back from the league to presumably continue her work on Halo, the league is set to be warmed by the white gnashers of a brand-new hosting pair, including Loviel "Velly" Cardwell.

In the wake of a broadcast contract nightmare involving the two most-liked casters in the league, Joe "MerK" DeLuca and Clint "Maven" Evans, the CDL rolled out the brand-new on-air talent for the upcoming Kickoff Classic, and Velly will now spearhead a new-look desk, including an established 'mind-blowing' analyst, a debuting female analyst, and an all-too-familiar special guest.

Velly named as CDL Desk Host as Blaze takes the on-stage role

Walking in the footsteps of the likes of Lottie and Jack "CouRage" Dunlop on the host duties, Velly comes from a long list of esports, most notably Rainbow Six: Siege and VALORANT. Having excelled in 2021 by hosting the Red Bull Campus Clutch and moving towards the VALORANT Champions Tour, the league will be in more than capable hands this year.

Taking to Twitter to express his excitement for debuting in Call of Duty, Velly said, "It’s official, I was given an opportunity to be the desk host for CDL this year and I happily accepted the offer. I’ve been here before and I know exactly how crazy this scene gets and I can’t wait. With that said - Let’s make some f**king noise."

Nameless, Allycxt, and Slacked Named As CDL 2022 Analysts

Joining Velly on the content team is the familiar face of Anthony "NAMELESS" Wheeler, who will continue to use his former playing experience to break down the exhilarating action set to unfold. The recently retired Josiah "Slacked" Berry will also join the desk for the Kickoff Classic, after putting down his Florida Mutineers jersey from 2021 to focus on content creation and broadcasting.

Also making her debut on the main broadcast is Alyssa "Allycxt" Parker, who impressed fans with her knowledge in the Challengers scene last season. Together, the four will be the faces of the Kickoff Classic, breathing a new life into a league desperate for entertainment.

Despite the controversy over the casters' contracts, the CDL named a solid line-up of four 2021 commentators to continue their work this year, including the Esports Awards nominee Miles Ross.

The Kickoff Classic starts on January 21, where the teams will get their chance to excite fans ahead of a crucial season.
