In the lead-up to Warzone 2 Season 4, the meta is being dominated by the Cronen Squall Battle Rifle and ISO Hemlock. While both these options are immensely powerful, it doesn't necessarily mean they're the best pick for climbing in Ranked.

Well, in order to pick out the strongest AR for Warzone 2's most competitive mode, it's often best to take advice from an expert.

Luckily, Warzone 2 guru Isaac "IceManIsaac" Hamilton has highlighted what he believes is the best AR for decimating your foes in Ranked and could take your gameplay to the next level.

Lethal Warzone 2 Chimera loadout is perfect for Ranked

For IceManIsaac, the Cronen Squall is too shaky at long-range and the MP5's damage heavily drops off at mid-range. So, to maximize your power in Ranked, he recommends you utilise a more versatile and consistent weapon in the Chimera - which is often underrated by the community.

The underused AR has 'insane' damage output and is an 'absolute beam' when it comes to its kickback. This low recoil pattern makes it extremely easy to use. This is essential in Ranked, where the pressure is always incredibly high.

Not only that, the Chimera may not have the mobility of a meta SMG, but it's still a lot better than its other AR counterparts. Paired alongside the MCPR-300, you'll have a Ranked loadout with lethality at every range that's capable of completely taking over a match.

According to WZRanked, the Chimera has a relatively low pick rate of just 1.3% which puts it at sixteenth in the overall popularity rankings.

While the gun is being underrated in the current meta, it's hard to know how long it will remain this way. So, if you're looking for a deadly AR that can perform at any range, the Chimera is the number one choice. Just make sure to use the powerful loadout above to push the weapon to its absolute limits.
