Gods be praised, there is apparently an Immortals Fenyx Rising sequel rumoured to soon be coming from Ubisoft.

Ubisoft's Immortals Fenyx Rising showed us fun in Olympus-size proportions when it was released in 2020. With its hilarious and witty dialogue, Immortals gives us a hilarious adventure with a lesson all about the Greek gods thrown in as you play winged demigod Fenyx on a mission to save the deities from a powerful curse. As well as receiving critical praise upon its release, it immediately won the hearts of players, too.

Despite Immortals' success, it didn't look like a sequel would be on the cards given the wealth of titles Ubisoft is already in the process of developing. However, it now appears that we could be returning to the Golden Isle.

Rumoured Immortals Fenyx Rising Sequel Currently On The Way

In an article for Xfire, industry insider Tom Henderson listed a number of big Ubisoft titles that we can soon expect an exciting announcement for, including a potential sequel to Immortals Fenyx Rising. In the post, Henderson claimed: "Ubisoft was apparently pleased with the performance of 2020's Immortals Fenyx Rising, and I've been informed that a sequel is in development. The title is in its pre-production stage and presumably in development by Ubisoft Quebec, who is also working on a new Assassin's Creed title. Recently, the studio has been hiring talent for the title, but no other details have been provided."

According to Henderson, we will get our very first look at Immortals' new sequel during an upcoming Ubisoft showcase. The leaker stated the information came from "several sources with direct knowledge of Ubisoft's plans." The sources also claimed that were 20 titles that could potentially be making an appearance at the showcase, which was due to happen before E3 2022.

What Other Games Will Ubisoft Reveal During Its Rumoured Showcase?

Henderson claimed that the Immortals Fenyx Rising sequel is not the only game announcement due to be made during the supposed "massive" Ubisoft showcase. As well as updates about Skull & Bones and Assassin's Creed Infinity, the leaker claimed that Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora would be making an appearance, despite fears it could be in trouble

Another exciting rumour from Henderson is that Ubisoft's plans to announce a 2.5D Prince Of Persia game during the showcase alongside the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, the latter of which Ubisoft has already officially confirmed. Henderson admitted that he, like the rest of us, knows very little about the game, "nonetheless, it does seem that Ubisoft is actively working on a second Prince of Persia title."

Ubisoft hasn't responded to the rumours, as of writing and it's still unclear as to when Ubisoft's supposed showcase is expected to happen. But, rest assured we'll be keeping our ears to the ground for any updates.
