Street Fighter 6 is a big departure from the Street Fighter we know, and we can't wait to see what hides in its gameplay. Of course, it still comes with the ass-kicking action we'd hope, with the tight arcade-style combat being the core experience. It's coming with an open-world story mode that is a first for the series.

Street Fighter 6 has a lot of fans sceptical, but if the team at Capcom can get it right, it could revolutionise the fighting game genre alongside the entire Street Fighter series. Perhaps the most crucial part of this story mode is the opportunity for players to make your own fighters. Now, some players have used it to create horrors beyond man's comprehension.

Street Fighter's Character Creator Is Terrifying

Oh god. The closed beta testing of Street Fighter 6 has just concluded, letting a very select few into the brawler for a mere weekend. In that time, gamers have been making attempts to test the new mode - but in getting through the character creator, they're creating some true abominations.

The sliders and switches of the character creator are pretty intense, and they've led to some truly atrocious beings that look as though they beg for death. Unfortunately, the sliders were a one-time event in the closed beta test, so there's every chance that players in the final game will be making creatures that defy God before realising they can't tread them back.

Street Fighter's Closed Beta Was A Huge Success

Though we're used to beta testing turning up a lot of criticism when it comes to a game's early builds, reports out of the closed testing have suggested that Street Fighter 6 is a step in the right direction for the franchise.

IGN's Mitchell Saltzman even went so far as to call the beta the best fighting game beta he'd ever played, then went on to to say "I feel extremely confident that Street Fighter 6's full launch will truly be a monumental moment for the FGC." Blimey.

There's a lot riding on Street Fighter 6 in terms of bringing the series back to the forefront of fighters. It looks like with a bit of luck, it could come through and truly revitalise the genre everywhere. Even with this lumbering beasts, we're very keen to see what else Street Fighter 6 can bring to the table.
