Call of Duty's "new era" was a resounding success, as Infinity Ward pulled in streamers from around the globe to play early builds of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 at the CoD: Next showcase.

Many of the franchise's most reputable names and faces gathered to play against each other in a range of game modes across the battle royale and multiplayer, which proved to be the most engaging way of revealing a Call of Duty title that the franchise has ever done.

There was a glaring omission from the showcase though, as Modern Warfare 2's experimental DMZ mode was nowhere to be seen. Now, it's clear to see why, as ahead of its launch later this month, Infinity Ward is planning another streamer event exclusively for the extraction-based game mode and Warzone 2.

Infinity Ward To Hold Streamer-Based DMZ Event

With the Escape From Tarkov-esque mode coming in mid-November, Infinity Ward has begun collecting some of Call of Duty's most prominent personalities again to fly out to their studios and get the first taste of what DMZ has to offer.

The news surfaced as some popular content creators like Ali "Myth" Kabbani and Benjamin "DrLupo" Lupo shared their intentions on intending after an invite was sent their way. The showcase is set for Wednesday, November 9, with all streamers live on their respective platforms from the HQ.

The content creators will also get another look at Warzone 2, which they will have played during the CoD: Next showcase. Much will have changed though, with loadout drops expected to be enabled.

Who Will Be At The MW2 DMZ Showcase?

It's not yet clear which streamers are going to make up the complete list of attendees, but with the IW headquarters being in LA, you can imagine most of the names will be from the United States.

DrLupo will likely be one of the more studied personalities there, given his love for Escape From Tarkov too. The likes of Kris "Swagg" Lamberson and Nadia "Nadia" Amine will also be in attendance. So far, the Call of Duty community has seen little or no action of the DMZ mode, which is set to open a whole new experience within the series.
