We've just had one of the best years ever in terms of game releases, and you can't be judged if you've missed out on one of the best games of the year.

Whether you were too busy tied up in last year's Elden Ring to be pried away over to Baldur's Gate 3, or too upset over the collapse of Bethesda's Redfall to try its cousin Starfield, or even too focused blasting your way through ongoing mainstream games like Call of Duty and EA FC 24 to dive into some more refined choices like Armored Core 6, now is your chance to catch up.

Thanks to Steam, and some time off work over Christmas, now is your best time to grab some big savings.

Now that many of the fairly unfinished titles are performing just as they should have done at launch, such as Cyberpunk 2077, revisiting some of the games over the last year or two might be the best way to spend your holidays.

I know I'd rather be in Night City than listening to that one annoying cousin brag about their life on Boxing Day.

So ahead of Christmas, there's a whole catalogue of games on Steam that have had their prices cut in half (or more), saving you a fortune.

Titles such as Resident Evil 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order are among the biggest sales, ranging between 50% and 85% off.

There are also some savings on some recent releases, as Baldur's Gate 3, Modern Warfare 3, and EA FC 24 have all had between 10 and 40% shaved off their prices.

  • Diablo 4 - £35.99 (40% off)
  • Baldur's Gate 3 - £44.99 (10% off)
  • Cyberpunk 2077 - £24.99 (50% off)
  • Resident Evil 4 - 24.99 (50% off)
  • Elden Ring - £29.99 (40% off)
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 - £19.79 (67% off)
  • It Takes Two - £8.74 (75% off)
  • Sonic Superstars - £32.99 (40% off)
  • Hogwarts Legacy - £24.99 (50% off)

  • EA Sports FC 24 - £23.99 (40% off)

So, for a couple of quid here and there, that Steam Deck games list could be much bulkier over Christmas.
