Among the ever-growing conversations about the exclusive titles Xbox is about to have, many seem to have forgotten the exclusivity prowess of PlayStation that has stood for years. The console family has hosted the likes of The Last of Us, God of War and Ratchet & Clank - and remains impressive with upcoming titles, too.

One of those titles is Ghostwire: Tokyo, the weird-as-hell action-adventure that's set to begin as an exclusive title for PlayStation. The title looks deeply fascinating, and we haven't known all that much - until now, because we've got a brand-new trailer with a fresh release date too.

Ghostwire: Tokyo Has A New Trailer

An extended look at Ghostwire: Tokyo has been revealed, and it looks more exciting than we'd ever expected. The 20-minute exploration of the game's monsters, mechanics, and narrative is a blend of gameplay and behind-the-scenes footage of the game's development.

There's a lot to unpack in terms of enemies and friends that you'll face, with the game looking like it's terrifying and bizarre in equal measure. But, most importantly, there are ghost cats. Yep, you heard us right.

The cats peppered around the game's world, as revealed by the PlayStation blog, are your merchants in Tokyo. These furry friends offer you goods like food, talismans, arrows and more. They're officially called Nekomata, and they'll be a big part of gameplay.

You'd think that Stray and Little Kitty Big City would be enough in-game cat content for the year, but thankfully, Ghostwire: Tokyo is showing us that you can't ever have too many cats in your games.

When Is Ghostwire Tokyo Coming Out?

Thankfully, we don't actually have all that long to wait for the arrival of Ghostwire: Tokyo and its feline contingent. The AAA game's release date has finally been revealed along with the new peek at gameplay.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is launching on March 25, 2022. It's arriving on PlayStation and PC as part of a previous deal with Sony, while an Xbox release is expected to come in 2023.

Though it has had little fanfare, Ghostwire: Tokyo looks incredibly exciting and could be an absolute winner for PlayStation fans. We say bring it on, and the ghost cats with it. We've got the RSPCA Ghostbusters on standby.
