The idea of Hitler in video games is a troublesome one, because as much as we'd love to take aim at the Nazi warlord, it's still a bit taboo to include him. Call of Duty is arguably the biggest shooter in the world, but even the might of that series tends to dodge around Adolf role in history.

One franchise that isn't afraid to grab Hitler (quite literally) by the balls is Rebellion Developments' Sniper Elite. The fifth entry in the third-person shooter series is on the way, but if you want to platinum it, you'll need to take on Hitler in a particularly creative way.

What Is Sniper Elite 5's Hitler Trophy?

Sniper Elite 5 puts Nazis in the crosshairs of World War II sniper Karl Fairburne, with the story taking place in 1944 France. The games have been known for their realistic depiction of period-accurate weapons, but has also added unique mechanics like the fan-favourite X-Ray Kill Cam that lets you follow a bullet and see its realistic damage. In a sentence we never thought we'd write, you can see Hitler get shot in the balls... well, ball.

Rebellion is releasing a day-one DLC titled Wolf Mountain. Here, you have to hunt down Hitler. It should be relatively easy, but if you want to earn the "Das Familienjuwel" trophy, you have to aim for a very specific area of the Fuhrer's anatomy. Although a simple headshot would work just as well, the translation of "Das Familienjuwel as "The Family Jewels" should let you know where you'll need to hit.

Over on Exophase, the full trophy list has some interesting challenges to platinum the 2022 game. Wolf Mountain has plenty of Hitler trophies with pun-filled names. You'll also need to go back and kill Hitler five times to unlock "Fuhrerious Repetition", or what about killing him from over 300m away for "Form Fuhrer Away"? Someone has clearly had a lot of fun here.

What Else Do We Know About Sniper Elite 5?

The testicular trauma doesn't end there. Sniper Elite 5 has another trophy in the form of "Die Nussknacker Sweet!" - that asks you to rifle someone in the nuts from 100m or more. It's definitely one way to take out your frustration but is sure to have male players crossing their legs and saying ouch. Sniper Elite 4 had a variety of creative ways to kill Hitler, with our personal favourite being the ability to put a grenade in his soup.

Sniper Elite 5 has had a lightning turnaround, with Rebellion only announcing it in December. As the CoDverse continues to dodge around Hitler, games like Sniper Elite and Wolfenstein are more than happy to poke fun at the dictator as a caricature. Still, if you've ever heard that song when you're younger, you'll be wondering if Sniper Elite 5 gives you two chances to hit Hitler in the family jewels, or just one.
