Test footage for a Rabbids movie has resurfaced online after originally being shared on Vimeo.
While it is unknown whether or not this is part of an upcoming film or came from a previously cancelled movie, fans are hopeful that a new film could be in the works.
Footage from a Rabbids movie has been shared online
Footage from a Rabbids movie has been seemingly leaked online, showing 1 minute and 20 seconds of animation.
In 2014, Ubisoft teamed up with Sony Pictures Animation to work on an animated Rabbids movie which was later cancelled in early development.
Even though nothing has been confirmed, there is a good chance that the footage has come from this project.
The project was moved to Lionsgate with Todd Strauss-Schulson as the director in late 2019, so there is a chance that a Rabbids movie could still be in the works.
Fans are excited at the prospect of a Rabbids film
Though there is a good chance that the footage has come from the cancelled 2014 film, that hasn’t stopped people from getting excited at the prospect of a new title.
Several commenters simply expressed variations of “A movie!”
Others commented how nice the animation style was, stating that “the animation looks cool!”
Not everyone is so thrilled at the thought of a Rabbids movie being made however, commenting on how annoying their speedy garbled dialogue could become over the course of an entire feature film.
One commenter on Reddit summed up the feeling well: "I like the idea but I think it’s better that they cancelled it. Minions seems better than this."
