Stepping back onto the Moder Warfare 2 (2009) maps of old in Modern Warfare 3 has made a lot of competitors pivot to the sniping playstyle.

Looking to relive the glory days of the Intervention and Barret, it's unbelievably fun to one-shot foes from afar and secure a kill in the blink of an eye.

However, choosing which sniper to use can be extremely difficult, especially if you want a guaranteed insta-kill with no hit markers. Well, MW3 guru WhosImmortal has the ultimate solution, with a powerhouse sniper loadout that deals devastating damage.

KATT AMR is the ultimate 'one-shot' sniper in MW3

The contest for the best sniper in Modern Warfare 3 is raging on between the Longbow and the KATT AMR, but for WhosImmortal, the hefty rifle takes the crown.

For him, the Longbow comes with a few too many hit markers, which can be unbelievably frustrating in multiplayer. On the other hand, the KATT AMR is an absolute "powerhouse" that instantly one-shots anything in its path.

While this does come with a mobility drawback, the build above does give the bulky sniper an impressive ADS time and a solid amount of movement speed.

Perfect for holding down areas of the map and power positions, the KATT is top-tier thanks to the "guaranteed one-shot," which will always be invaluable in long-range gunfights.

How popular is the KATT AMR in Modern Warfare 3?

According to WZStats, the KATT AMR has a 2.3% pick rate in Modern Warfare 3, which is fairly solid for a sniper rifle. While this sits below Longbow, that's to be expected, given how much more mobility it has for playing aggressively and running around the map.

Of course, what the KATT lacks in movement it certainly makes up for in firepower. So, if you want to obliterate foes from a distance, this is the number one choice.
