Imane "Pokimane" Anys has taken the YouTube and streaming world by storm in recent years, transcending to become one of the biggest gaming streamers on the platform. Typically playing party games such as Among Us and survival pastimes such as Rust, she also dabbles in the more mainstream title such as VALORANT where she is currently ranked in Diamond.

With a wealth of expertise in the gaming industry, the 24-year old Morrocan-Canadian personality has now created a second channel dedicated to non-gaming related content. Just as she has previously done on her main channel in the past, Anys is looking to use her second channel to experiment with vlogs, topic videos, and other creative content.

The channel "Imane" has already notched up 84,000 subscribers in two days, with many of her loyal fans looking for a closer dive into her life.

Within her reveal video, Pokimane divulged that she has recently felt that the YouTube algorithm has clearly favoured her gaming videos, especially those on Among Us with the Offline TV crew and that she has squandered opportunities to post videos on other things that she loves to do.

She stated "I essentially wanted to create this channel just for it to be a place where I could share random non-gaming related things that don’t go on my main channel. I think it’s pretty clear what the YouTube algorithm prefers, and when being a content creator is your job, admittedly, you do feel some pressure to kind of abide by certain guidelines or post content that you think will perform.

“But I wanted to create a channel where I could just post for the sake of enjoying what I’m posting and sharing things that I love. I think [that] is what content creation ideally should be. So, that’s what I want this channel to be for me.”

As we know, Poki rose to fame from a variety of different content, and seeing her limited to just gaming has taken the edge off of her personality on the channel. Now, with more freedom to the second channel, the real Pokimane will again begin to blossom.
