Dignitas have rounded out their academy roster with the signing of former Golden Guardians support Kim “Olleh” Joo-sung and former Echo Fox top laner Samson “Lourlo” Jackson. The remainder of the roster includes jungler Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham, mid laner Tanner “Damonte” Damonte, and ADC Kim "Fenix" Jae-hun.

Olleh broke into the League of Legends Championship series with Immortals in 2017, where he made a name for himself with his Morgana play and adeptness at both roaming and laning support styles. He went on to join Team Liquid’s inaugural franchise roster in 2018. He two LCS titles with Liquid and attended both the 2018 Mid-Season Invitational and the World Championship before moving to Golden Guardians in 2019.

Lourlo saw two weeks worth of stage time with Echo Fox in the latter half of the 2019 Summer Split and spent the rest of the year on the team’s academy lineup. After his debut on Liquid in 2016, he struggled to find a starting spot on an LCS roster.

Since the beginning of the offseason, Olleh has been relatively quiet about his 2020 plans, leaving some to question whether or not he’d be starting. Now paired with Fenix, who is new to the ADC role, Olleh is the most experienced player on the Dignitas Academy lineup.

This year, the Riot broadcast plans to highlight the Academy League with a new LCS schedule that gives teams more opportunities to play on stage. With the elimination of the championship point system, a crucial asset of the Spring Split, teams will suffer less consequences for incorporating academy players into their LCS teams.

You’ll be able to see Olleh and Lourlo in action with DIG.A on Friday January 24 at 5 p.m. PST against Evil Geniuses Academy and Saturday January 25 at 6 p.m. PST against CLG Academy.
