Cooking is a huge part of Stardew Valley and there are a good number of iconic recipes in the cozy farming sim that many players would like to be able to try in real life.

The Official Stardew Valley Cookbook, which has been co-authored by Ryan Novak and ConcernedApe himself, will be released in April 2024.

Stardew Valley is known for its iconic recipes

Pink cake, seafoam pudding and strange buns are all recipes that players of Stardew Valley have wanted to try since they were introduced to the game. Players may now get the chance as the Official Stardew Valley Cookbook is reportedly going to have over 50 recipes from the game.

The Amazon listing says: "The first official cookbook from the immensely popular Stardew Valley, featuring more than 50 delightful recipes straight out of the video game.

"An immersive cookbook based on the farming, foraging, and community role-playing video game, The Official Stardew Valley Cookbook celebrates seasonal ingredients through unique recipes inspired by the game. Cook your way through the seasons!

"With over fifty mouthwatering recipes accompanied by vibrant photography and original illustrations, The Official Stardew Valley Cookbook is an invaluable addition to finding your sense of belonging in Stardew Valley."

Fans of Stardew Valley have been attempting to recreate recipes from the game for a long time. One prominent account for this is The Queen of Sauce on Instagram who set out with the goal of recreating every recipe in Stardew Valley.

Stardew Valley is not the first game to get a cookbook

Stardew Valley is not the first game to come out with a cookbook.

In 2016, The World of Warcraft cookbook was released, containing more than 100 recipes inspired by the world of Azeroth. A second book came out in 2021 containing more regional techniques and recipes.

Elder Scrolls put out a cookbook in 2019, Hearthstone's Innkeeper's Tavern Cookbook came out in 2017 and even Fallout, the game in which food is literally iradiated, got The Vault Dweller's Official Cookbook in 2018.

While the concept of eating meals found in your favourite video games has been around for a long time, I think it is fair to say that not many of them have food which looks quite as appetizing as the brightly-coloured recipes in Stardew Valley.
