Whilst the League of Legends World Championships often put on the finest array of esports action on the pitch, Riot Games have found the perfect knack of making the event so much more than a clicking fiesta. Their storied history with LoL production and cinematics often drives just as much hype around the tournament as the games themselves, and this year is no different.

The catalogue of K-pop and rock hits that have helped depict a range of legacies in League of Legends have become wildly anticipated every year. Whether it be blasting repeats of Legends Never Die and RISE through Spotify, fangirling out to the latest K/DA jam, or studying the animated novels of Worlds history in the annual Worlds preview song, the time has come to get the LoL Worlds bug and pester Alexa into making your games room a concert of chaos.

Following on from last years' "Take Over", which painted the picture of Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok transitioning from the greatest player of the generation to a wise master who can change the future of the game with a young padawan, Riot has now released the official LoL Worlds 2021 song: "Burn It All Down".

Despite Faker's return to the world stage for the first time in three years, Burn It All Down depicts the regional tussles throughout the world, with a heavy focus on the reigning world champion and arguably the best player of the current era: Heo "ShowMaker" Su.

The DAMWON Kia Mid laner has swiftly risen to become the most fearsome player in the LCK, and the new Worlds 2021 anthem shows the Korean sparring off against another stalwart of the scene in Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon. Both ShowMaker and Chovy will be on display at Worlds, alongside their counterpart Faker, all of whom will look to retain the title to the region.

Burn It All Down also highlights many other regions, such as the LEC, where G2 Esports' Martin "Rekkles" Larsson can be seen trading blow for blow with MAD Lions' Matyáš "Carzzy" Orság - despite G2 not being at the event.

Just as previous iterations of Worlds songs illustrate the climb to become world champions, Burn It All Down shows the struggles of teams who have to prove themselves as their respective regional challengers, before turning into a new beast on the world stage.

With the League of Legends World Championships 2021 kicking off on October 7, will ShowMaker, Chovy, and Faker come out on top for Korea? Or will an underdog like Carzzy burn it all down?
