With Modern Warfare 2's Ranked mode success, all of the Call of Duty legends are flocking back to the scene.
Despite the game lacking a competitive sense, with a limited map pool and some crucial functions being changed (such as Dead Silence as a Field Upgrade and not a perk, or Trophy Systems blocking killstreaks), the ranked experience is rolling back the years for many CoD's stalwarts.
Over the last week, streaming icons like Herschel "Dr Disrespect" Beahm, Jack "CouRage" Dunlop, and Timothy "TimTheTatman" have been squadding up to take on the Ranked demons. But none have found the same success as the former X-Games gold medalist Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag.
Nadeshot goes off on MW2 trash talker
As an icon of the scene and very much a pivotal pioneer for CoD esports throughout his career, Nade has been dropping in with a target on his back, meaning anyone and everyone is looking to unsettle and beat him.
The competitiveness in the Ranked playlist has seen these bouts become quite feisty, and we've now seen the blood boil over as Nadeshot has started cooking opposition players.
"Yo, you better mute me because I've got a lot to say about your dog s**t ass," Nadeshot erupted after beating a trash-talking squad for the second game in a row.
"You got beat on Hardpoint, you got beat on SnD. I've been playing this game for five days and you still got put in a body bag. You need to do something else brother because this hobby is not for you."
Nadeshot conquers trash talk on MW2 Ranked
It wasn't the only time we saw Nadeshot in a war of words either. Only a few games earlier, Haag was also seen slamming another trash talker who claimed he was "washed."
The CoD legend mocked his sing-song tune and instantly shut them down by saying "You were never on," which was followed by a chorus of laughs.
Nadeshot has now pledged to be running up a squad with Seth "Scump" Abner, Marcus "MBoZe" Blanks, and Anthony "Methodz" Zinni, so the trash talkers might not get much of a voice next time around.
