Mw4 Season 1 Start Time Uk

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 goes live at 5am UK time on Friday, November 6, and it's a big one, as this is the update that finally folds Warzone into Modern Warfare 4 and adds the new Hajin and Zodiac maps.

Activision's Season 1 blog puts the launch at midnight Eastern time, which works out at 5am for us now the clocks have gone back, so early risers can squeeze in a few matches before work or school (we won't tell anyone).

What time does MW4 Season 1 start in the UK?

Season 1 starts at 5am GMT on Friday, November 6 on every platform, which is 6am in Central Europe and 9pm on Thursday night on the US West Coast. You might have seen a 5pm start floating around online, but that was an estimate based on older seasons from before Activision confirmed the time.

There's no official download size for the update yet, so it's worth leaving your console in rest mode tonight to give it the best chance of grabbing the patch while you sleep.

What's new in Modern Warfare 4 Season 1?

Multiplayer gets three maps at launch, with the snowy town of Backstab, the sun-baked Canyon and a reimagined Shoot House that's been moved to North Korea and given a light dusting of snow. Grind and Drop Zone return alongside a limited-time Gauntlet 1v1 mode, while the Ministry and Overflow maps are due later in the season.

DMZ players get X01, a former weapons facility on Hajin's northern border packed with underground labs, tunnels and a sealed Deep Vault, and because the extraction points close as a run goes on, dawdling over loot is a quick way to get yourself stuck.

The Battle Pass costs 1,100 COD Points (or 2,400 for the bundle) and adds the Cronen Osprey assault rifle and the CSG-35 SMG at launch, with the JAK 12 shotgun and the ZLR Talonhawk axe arriving later. There's also a catch-up system that unlocks premium rewards up to the current day of the season if you fall behind, which is great news for anyone planning to vanish into GTA 6 on November 19.

Warzone packs its bags for Modern Warfare 4

Season 1 is also when Warzone switches over to Modern Warfare 4, with Hajin reported to be the new Battle Royale map, Zodiac set up for Resurgence, and Verdansk and Rebirth Island both making a comeback. Your Operators, skins and weapon Blueprints from Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 all come with you, although legacy weapon camos don't carry over.

The bad news is for PS4 and Xbox One players, as Warzone stops working on last-gen consoles when Season 1 lands, which makes today your last full day. We've covered what happens to your progress and COD Points if you're moving to a newer console.

Well, the clock is ticking, so get that console into rest mode tonight and we'll see you in Hajin bright and early.
