Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies mode was certainly a fresh spin on the typical undead formula from previous games in the franchise.

For some, this was a massive turn off as the round-based system was the only reason they enjoyed slaying nightmarish foes, but for others, it's been a chance too enjoy something completely new.

Fresh features including a full size open map, dog companions, boss enemies, and even portals has opened the door for new strategies when it comes to taking down Zombies.

Well, one MW3 fan may have found the most hilarious method yet, allowing you to launch undead enemies into the sky with ease.

As showcased on the CODZombies subreddit, a trick has been discovered that allows you to skyrocket undead foes into the air.

We're not talking a few feet either, the technique that involves dragging Zombies through the path of a purple portal launches them up to the skybox.

With no access to a parachute, they're simply left to fall back down to Urzikstan for an instant elimination. It's certainly not the most efficient way of dealing with Zombies, but it's definitely hilarious.

Seeing them plummet back down to earth is extremely satisfying and has got countless players in the thread excited to try it themselves.

MW3 fans call for a flying Zombies achievement

This glitch is so entertaining that it's actually got MW3 players calling for Treyarch to make it an official achievement in-game.

While a "trophy" would certainly be appreciated by the community, it's unlikely this is an intended mechanic. However, as it's not harming the gameplay experience or unfairly OP, hopefully the devs can turn a blind eye to the glitch.

So, if countless hours of mowing down Zombies with your weapon has lost its magic, consider sending them on a way one-way trip into the sky with this strategy.
