Call of Duty Zombies is almost Dead. It is hanging on by its last limb.
But Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 Reloaded won't be the final nail in the coffin. In fact, the update is finally injecting some life into the game mode.
Ahead of said update, Call of Duty has now shared a plethora of brand-new content which will come into play this week, and fans are chuffed with it.
MW3 Zombies gets resurrected in Season 2 Reloaded
Season 2 Reloaded is set to be MW3 Zombies' last major update, with Treyarch shifting focus onto Black Ops Gulf War, but in its swan song, Sledgehammer Games' title is set to get a wealth of new features to battle against the undead.
Firstly, a new Warlord is here, named Keres, who will use her reinforcements wisely to make infiltrating the Killhouse at Orlov Military Base quite the bold move. But beating her will make for just rewards.
New schematics are also on the way with Mags of Holding, Blood Burner Key, and V-R11 Wonder Weapon all being able to be crafted, while the story also extends to the Dark Aether.
A new portal will whizz players off into the upside-down of Al Mazrah's Sa'id City, where even the Zombies will be pack-a-punched, truly testing your mettle.
Call of Duty Zombies gurus excited over new content update
With a lot of Zombies stans thinking that the mode is pretty much over until next year, the new marketing of Season 2 Reloaded has been a breath of fresh air.
Following the trailer for the Dark Aether, Jon "MrDalekJD" Hutchinson took to social media to say, "We love seeing the mode get some more marketing LFG."
"We are FINALLY getting new Modern Warfare Zombies content this week. I don't know how long it'll last but I'm gonna enjoy it as much as I can," he added.
Other Zombies sentinels also echoed this sentiment, hopeful that this update will help tie us all over to later this year when we can finally see what Treyarch has been cooking up.
