MW3 players are selling ‘bot lobbies’

Modern Warfare 3 players are now selling 'bot lobbies', a term used for low-elo matches after reverse boosting.

We all know that some of these montages that get posted are a little bit bogus. Even Call of Duty posted Modern Warfare 3 clips of itself farming against the AI opponents in the past.

But in a quite hilarious twist to this strange phenomenon of content creation, Modern Warfare 3 players are now selling "bot lobbies" to other players.

Modern Warfare 3 'bot lobbies' are up for sale

As pointed out by ModernWarzone on Twitter, there are currently people selling "Bot Lobbies" online, in a "fast and safe" method.

What this likely includes (rather than a private match with actual bots) is people reverse boosting until the Skill Based Matchmaking kicks in and places the account user into lobbies against players with the worst skill level in Call of Duty.

It's not a new strategy for content creators to do this, many have been called out in the past for reverse boosting to make their gameplay videos seem better than they are, and even using VPNs to come up against players in countries not as experienced in CoD.

But to buy them, that's a worrying sign.

Players are actually buying MW3 bot lobbies

What's as equally eyebrow-raising as the sale itself is that "leopar8952", the account pictured by ModernWarzone, has 14 sales and 100% positive feedback on his bot lobbies offering.

For the measly price of $5 per sale, the side hustle has already netted this user $70, and Pandora's box has now been opened as they've been highlighted on social media.

Soon though, maybe we'll get to a point where so many people reverse boost that the "bot lobbies" actually become the most high-skilled matches around when all these players decide to try and farm at the same time.
