The nostalgia spree of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon, with Season 3 adding Rebirth Island and the MORS Sniper from Advanced Warfare.

While MW3 is slowly becoming an amalgamation of multiple CoD titles across the franchise, the fanbase is not complaining. These constant trips down memory lane are appreciated, with competitors calling on the devs to bring even more fan-favourites back in the next patch.

One of the most heavily-requested guns is an Assault Rifle from MW2019, which would certainly stir up the meta if it ever returned.

Modern Warfare 3 players demand MW2019's ODEN returns

Popular Call of Duty account TheGhostOfHope has called on Sledgehammer Games to bring back the ODEN from MW2019.

This has gone down a treat with the community who agree that the deadly AR would make a strong addition to the arsenal. Of course, the one concern would be the weapon arriving extremely overturned, but that seems to happen with every new MW3 gun at the moment.

"Honestly, the Oden was underrated as f**k, that was one of my most used guns in MW2019," said one user, with another claiming, "Oden with the colossus suppressor and its 2 longest barrel was chefs kiss."

Given MW3's tendency to lean into the past rather than creating new weapons, a return for the ODEN is not out of the question. Some OG MW2019 fans may even return for the first time in years if it gets re-added.

What made the ODEN special in MW2019?

ODEN AR MW2019

Described as a "monster" of a gun by those who loved it back in MW2019, the ODEN hit like a truck and could eradicate enemies in milliseconds.

While a lot of players were put off the weapon by its slow rate of fire, those who decided to master the ODEN were rewarded with one of the best TTKs in the game.

Equipped with the JAK Glassless optic, you could see it destroying foes in multiplayer, and being a deadly threat in Warzone - all we can do is keep our fingers crossed.
