One of the main gripes in the first weekend of the Modern Warfare 3 Beta was the visibility. Alongside spawns, pros labelled this as the one change that needed to come into play, as players were often confused between teammates and enemies, unloading bullets into their friends' backs.

Shortly after, Sledgehammer Games confirmed visibility changes have been made, and the Call of Duty community has welcomed back nameplate icons with open arms.

But that won't be the only change, as Sledgehammer Games has now confirmed that they are pinching a Black Ops UI system and adding it to Modern Warfare 3.

Black Ops-inspired health bar is coming to the MW3 HUD

From the horse's mouth itself, Sledgehammer Games is adding a health bar to the HUD in Modern Warfare 3.

This feature has only ever been in Black Ops games before, but the developers have added to the Trello board of known issues in the game, which they will add later.

A health bar is synonymous with Black Ops, with the higher-health games in the series often showing players how weak their enemies are with each bullet.

It's not yet sure whether Sledgehammer intends to add the health bar during the Beta or when the full game launches in November.

MW3 players split on more HUD options

This year especially, Sledgehammer Games has already toyed with some different HUD approaches, already adding the death report that signifies how much damage a player has been dealt.

The new change has already divided opinions, with some wanting the feedback to be scrapped, and others wanting a more detailed report, akin to how Apex Legends shows the full combat and damage feedback after every death.

Popular creator "TheMW2Ghost" called for it to be removed, while renowned leaker "TheGhostOfHope" argued, "Why? If anything they should add to it and show us how much damage we did to them."

There's a huge sense of gratitude that the developers could take with this debate though, as you know you've made a pretty good foundation for the game if all players care about is the HUD appearance...
