Call of Duty might be an 18+ rated mature game, but there's no denying that kids of all ages are jumping in to try and grind multiplayer, with players as young as seven becoming future prodigies of the game.
There are quite a number of reasons why Call of Duty is rated 18+, like rumours of some raunchy scenes in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign on the Red Light District in Amsterdam, which wouldn't be suitable for the younger players. Elsewhere, there are some quite gruesome kill scenes throughout other elements of the series.
The most gruesome elements, though, come through multiplayer, with the finishing moves becoming ever more brutal. Now, CoD players want to draw inspiration from these finishers and add a bucket-load of more gore into Modern Warfare 2.
Modern Warfare 2 players want more decapitation
There are a number of rather brutal finishers in Modern Warfare 2, so much so that over the years, we've seen players manipulate the kill-cam to suit Stranger Things scenes and even pray that the unreleased "tea-bag" finisher will finally be made public.
But in Modern Warfare 2, there are currently two "decapitation" finishers that take the dome off of their victims. Apparently, fans seem to love the rolling skulls and want Infinity Ward to dial up the violence like we're playing Mortal Kombat.
The bloodlust is so rife, some are actually calling on the developers to add decapitation to normal multiplayer kills, not just finishers, claiming that headshots with snipers, marksman rifles, and shotguns should all sever the head of an enemy's shoulders.
MW2 fans ask for headshots to literally take the head off an enemy
Decapitation. Let's talk about this feature.

"So why isn't it a feature when you kill an enemy with a headshot from sniper rifles, marksman rifles and shotguns?" one Call of Duty fan asked on Reddit - as the Modern Warfare subreddit remains open despite multiple gaming communities joining the Blackout.
"Personally, I think it would be a lot more fun to have camping snipers get their heads blown off when you outshoot them," they added.
Other fans deliberated whether this was a disturbed request or actually a cool realism-centric addition to the game. Others also pointed out that dismemberment was actually a microtransaction-only effect too, meaning if you wanted more heads to roll, you'd likely have to buy more bundles.
More gore in Call of Duty would be quite a low-key feature to add, but if it doesn't offend people and heightens the experience for some fans, then why the heck not?
