Musty Confirms He Will Enter A Team Into RLCS X
No Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) event is complete without seeing players like SquishyMuffinz or Scrub Killa pull off a 'Musty flick'. One of the difficult but rewarding mechanical skills has just one person to thank, and even though this skill is used on the biggest stages in Rocket League esports, its creator, "amustycow" or "Musty" for short, has never played a professional game in his life. Yet.
Despite being one of the highest-ranked players in terms of MMR, Musty has never taken the plunge into the pro scene, concentrating on content creation, and racing fellow YouTube SunlessKhan to 1,000,000 subscribers.
Musty has expressed his desire recently to turn professional, and after spending a month being coached by professional players, he has declared that he will be entering a team into RLCS X, starting off in the qualifying rounds.

In the closing statements of his video, Musty says "I would say in one month I got at least 6 or 7 months ahead in terms of skill and knowledge as a player. I would definitely say I am still not pro-level but I'm much closer than I ever have been and if I want to get any closer I need to do less ranked and more tournaments as a team.
"So on that topic, I will be competing in RLCS X, with a very stacked line up, so follow my Twitter where I will be announcing my team soon".
Musty's only competitive experience has come this year, after entering The Field, competing in Division 2 alongside NRG coach Emiliano "Sizz" Benny, and G2 Esports' Dillon "Rizzo" Rizzo. So far they have a record of one win, two losses, but have until August 31 to complete the 10 games required throughout the month to be eligible for rewards.
With the North American Regional Event 1 getting underway this weekend (August 15), the closed qualifiers have been decided, meaning Musty will be too late to compete this time around, however, if his team is announced soon, we may see him make his professional debut at the second regional on September 12.
