Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is as black and white as tactical shooters come. Known for its robust graphics and simplistic quality that requires the highest IQ and awareness, CS:GO is a timeless classic that has moved from strength to strength by making minor adjustments to the mechanics over its 20-year lifespan.

On the other side of the shooter-sphere is the Halo franchise. The two are like chalk and cheese with Halo being one of the more frantic and hectic gun-games ever created. Launching players into space to wage their skills in an interstellar war between aliens and supersoldiers, Halo is the complete opposite of CS:GO.

Combining the two would seem like a meteoric catastrophe, with the paradox being seemingly implausible.

However, one modder has created the ultimate crossover which launches Master Chief into Dust II to turn his mass alien genocide slaying skills into tactical awareness and stealth.

YouTuber, TheWarOwl, showcases the crossover where players will operate as the Halo characters and using weapons that they have brought back from the Array, such as the infamous MA37 submachine gun that has graced multiple Halo games.

The mechanics of the game don't differ too much from the Counter-Strike plays we see on the daily, with more accuracy coming from players who are still with shooting-whilst-moving players spraying their bullets wildly. The lack of CS:GO original utility equipment such as smokes and grenades made for a tough game, seen as though the defence would be able to hold down the attacking lanes with ease, but the mod's fun had only just begun.

The "NobleStikre" mod can also be used in various other ways, such as hosting 'shield only' rounds. This takes the sword-shield that is renowned in Halo and places it on the arms of both sides, where they will then have to slice and dice their way through the opponent. Switching to a free-for-all Team Deathmatch created a much more entertaining match-up on this hilarious crossover.

The two worlds colliding looks to be one of the most encapsulating collaborations yet. Who would have thought it would come from CS:GO and Halo?
