This last year has seen a few games launching without the features that would actually constitute a finished game, but out of them all, most are asking where is the Halo Infinite co-op beta.

Now that we live in an era for gaming that lets developers simply update later rather than have a game ready in time for launch, some have taken that in stride as though it's a reputable strategy. It isn't.

The worst of the bunch was Battlefield 2042 - launching without so much as a scoreboard or in-game chat. Halo Infinite wasn't innocent either, withholding its co-op campaign as it was unfinished. But finally, we know a little more about when we'll get to experience the game's story with our pals.

What Is The Halo Infinite Co-Op Beta Release Date?

Finally, after months of wondering when players can expect to take on the challenges of the Halo Infinite co-op with their friends as was promised, we have word on when we can expect a beta of co-op multiplayer to launch.

Starting from July 11, anyone who owns the game or is a member of Xbox Game Pass will be offered a chance to try out the beta. The feature will finally complete Master Chief's story without having to go it alone. Fascinatingly, though, there are a few steps you're going to have to complete to get there.

How Do You Join The Halo Infinite Co-Op Beta?

If you want to get involved yourself, there are different steps for both console and PC. If you want to take on the beta on Xbox, you're going to have to sign up for the Xbox Insider Program, - which is much easier said than done. Check the support page for help on getting in.

For those on PC, you'll have to register to be a Halo insider AND download an entirely different build of the game and start a fresh save. Plus, get signed up soon, as 343 Industries has suggested that you might not get access if you sign up after July 5. It's a needlessly complicated system, but at least the Halo Infinite co-op is finally making it to the game. Emphasis on finally.
