Street Fighter is finally set for a comeback. And what a comeback it'll be.

A brand-new trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter 6 finally landed last night in the PlayStation State of Play that blew fans away, and the fresh look at gameplay was certainly eventful.

A new art style, character designs, a full open world and, seemingly, never-before-seen fighting mechanics, a total overhaul looks to be on the way for the classic fighter series, and it's causing a lot of talk in fan circles.

But, equally, fans are focusing on some relatively small details. Like which celebrities the fighters look like.

Fans Think Street Fighter 6's Ryu Looks Like Jack Black

Street Fighter fans have taken to Reddit in confusion - as it seems like the new trailer has spurred them to wonder if Ryu actually looks like a super-swole version of Jack Black.

"Am I the only one who thinks that Ryu's new model looks like Jack Black?" says user etbiludecalcinha in the gaming subreddit, with images for reference. And other fans seem to agree.

"Live-action movie casting confirmed?" asks one comment.

It might seem like a bizarre comparison at first glance, but frankly, we should be keeping this up. If we tweet enough about Jack Black playing Ryu, chances are he'll make a TikTok about it, and that's truly the best outcome for any game franchise. He'd be doing Capcom, and the wider world, a favour.

What Do We Know About Street Fighter 6 So Far?

Thankfully, the latest trailer at last night's State of Play has painted an illuminating picture of what the new Street Fighter is set to look like, and it seems to be bringing with it a whole host of new features.

The trailer unveils the franchise's first open-world, all-new character design, aesthetic, and by the looks of it, some new fighting mechanics. Who knows exactly how this game will turn out, but one thing's for sure - it certainly won't be boring.

Street Fighter fans are eating well at the moment, and it's only about to get more exciting for us the closer the game gets. Plus, if we could ask Hollywood to get Jack Black involved somehow, that'd be great.
