When it comes to the Warzone 2 Season 5 meta, only one AR is breaking into the top five when it comes to popularity, and that's the Kastov 762.

The rest are being overlooked by the community in favour of options like the Cronen Squall Battle Rifle, which maintains an astonishing 16.4% pick rate.

While you could follow the crowd and only use what's considered meta, sometimes thinking outside the box can lead to you finding a hidden gem.

Well, Warzone 2 guru WhosImmortal believes they've managed exactly that with an underrated AR that's a complete laser beam.

Kastov 545 is an absolute laser beam in Warzone 2

  • Barrel: IG-K30 406MM
  • Muzzle: Harbinger D20
  • Optic: AIM OP-V4
  • Ammunition: 5.45 High Velocity
  • Magazine: 45 Round Mag

While the Kastov 545 doesn't have the raw firepower of the Kastov 762 or Cronen Squall, it is "one of the lowest recoil options in the entire game."

As a result, WhosImmortal argues that its "realistic TTK" is actually extremely strong, as you're very rarely going to miss your shots with this weapon.

The setup above is all about optimising the gun's "long-range efficiency" and transforming it into a complete laser that locks onto any foe in your path.

Ultimately, this is an AR that's incredibly easy to use, which is undervalued among Warzone 2 players. Having ridiculous firepower is all well and good, but if you're missing your shots, it's not worth it.

How popular is the Kastov 545 in Warzone 2?

Sitting at fifteenth in the overall popularity rankings in Warzone 2 and a 0.9% pick rate according to WZRanked, the Kastov 545 has certainly risen in stock over recent months.

Nonetheless, it's still criminally underused when you realise what this AR has to offer and how consistent it can be on Al Mazrah and Vondel.

So, if simplicity and stability are what you're looking for, then the Kastov 545 needs to be on your loadout list in Season 5.
