The competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) circuit is getting really for Flashpoint 2 with the announcement of which 12 teams will be vying for the $1 million prize pool. We already knew that B Site would be hosting the competition out of a London studio next month, with Flashpoint 2 officially running from November 9 to December 6.

According to B Site, the 12 teams taking place are the globally-ranked BIG, OG, Fnatic, forZe eSports, and Virtus.pro. They will be joined by B Site founding teams Gen.G, Cloud9, c0ntact, Dignitas, Team Envy, MAD Lions, and MIBR. BIG, OG, and Fnatic had direct invites, while forZe and Virtus.pro won qualifiers to earn a prestigious place in Flashpoint 2.

Group play kicks off on November 10 until November 22, followed by playoffs from November 30 to December 5, and the Grand Final on December 6.

Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles, Commissioner of Flashpoint, said, "We’re pumped to be back with Flashpoint 2 to further deliver on our promise for raw and unfiltered entertainment for our fans with the largest prize pools of 2020 with arguably the coolest trophy in all of sport.

We’re eager to watch our storylines unfold including the emergence of BIG and OG this year, how the rebuilt rosters of some of our teams such as Cloud9 will compete and if MAD Lions can defend its title".

Back in April, MAD Lions defeated MIBR in Flashpoint 1, so we'll have to wait and see if the team can do it again.
